Christian Goodman
PGA Club Professional & Club Manager
Christian has been part of Matlock Golf Club since 1989 when he joined as a junior member working his way to his current position as The Club Professional and now Club Manager.
Prior to becoming a Professional, Christian completed a Bsc (Hons) degree in Sport and Recreation Management and then returned to Matlock Golf Club to undertake his PGA training. He took over as the Club Professional in June 2007 to current date.
Christian has a wealth of playing experience both as an amateur and as a playing professional in the Midland and Derbyshire PGA Region. His particular strengths are custom fitting and coaching working with a wide range of ages and abilities, from beginners to Derbyshire County players. He uses a mix of traditional and up to the minute coaching techniques and can work on all aspects of your game from putting to short game and swing analysis.
Jamie Booth
PGA Professional
From the age of 10, I have been a keen golfer, playing in numerous competitions for club and Derbyshire across the country. 16 years later, I am now a fully qualified PGA professional with over 9 years experience within the industry.
I’m thrilled to have joined Matlock Golf Club as the new Assistant Professional and looking forward to getting stuck in and meeting all the members.
Jamie has an excellent retail background and great knowledge of the golf swing for coaching. Jamie will be coordinating and developing the Junior section at Matlock Golf Club.
Craig Pollard
PGA Professional
Craig has been a PGA Professional for 23 years, and in 2015 was awarded the title of Advanced PGA Professional for coaching.
Craig loves helping golfers of all abilities and ages improve and reach their goals, whether that be wanting to break 100 for the first time, winning the club championship or just simply learning how to start golf in the correct way.
His coaching style is to keep the instruction simple and easy to understand so as not to overwhelm the pupil with lots of technical thoughts.

Tom Fennah
PGA Trainee Professional
Tom has been part of Matlock Golf Club since 2012 when he was a junior member. He has since gone on and completed a sports coaching qualification at Derby College along side this he was part of the Performance Golf Academy at the College.
Tom is currently in his second year of the PGA training programme, working towards being a fully qualified PGA Professional. He wants to help players of all abilities to improve their golf game and has a real enthusiasm for junior golf.
